Snap-On sells them, just call them up and tell them you need a DOHC valve stem seal remover, when i bought mine it was 38 dollars, and without it, it takes about 5 minutes a seal and a bitch to take off.
there is usually a miniature slide hammer style valve seal remover on ebay... ~$12... it's badass compared to the plier style IMO.

I like the slide hammer type as well. I have the one from Goodson.
The plier type are much harder to use, especially if you don't have the head strapped down to keep it from moving.
However, you still need a set of pliers sometimes because the claws on the slide hammer type can't get under the lip of the seal, so you need to use a set of pliers to lift it up a little.

no, you cannot remove the valve stems, they are an integral part of the valve. you can however remove the valve stem seals once removing the retainers, and valve springs. If you plan on doing it with the head on the block, i'd suggest doing it 1 cylinder at a time, and be prepared for a sore back.

No. i have absolutly no idea what i'm doing, and i'm just trying to con people into spending $10 on ebay as opposed to spending $40 with a less effective snap on tool.

Seriously, its not hard at all.
With the tool I posted, you only need to have strong hands. I had my head on a a little step thingy, I put my foot on to hold it down and I pulled the 'pliers' as hard as I could. However, some of the seals came of just by clamping down hard and wiggling back and forth, up and down.
