How can you tell if your suspension is damaged?
Last friday i got into an accident where my left front tire hit a curb at around 10-15 mph (i was braking hard). THe car drives fine, but the alignment is off (to go straight, the wheel has to turned about 25 degrees right of center). THere is no vibration at highway speeds. Does this sound like permanent suspension damage? Which component of the suspension would most likely be damaged if it were?
Unrelated to the suspension, the AC has stopped working. If you turn the AC on, a whirring sound (with a faint metallic scraping sound) happens. What does this mean?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated....

Probably the alignment, I hit a giant rock about the size of a beer bottle going 70mph in my Civic. Bent the rim slightly and blew a hole in the tire, alignment fix the streering. You might have a blown shock though because thats what I felt before I sold the car.
