Default help with engine light

the engine light flashes 9 times, basically ~2 sec on 0.5 sec off repeated nine times.
I'm wondering does that means code 9 or 90?

i know how to pull the code (read my post)

but please define LONG and SHORT

is 2 sec on 0.5 off consider as LONG or SHORT?

If it's LONG then it's code 90
If it's SHORT then it's code 9
