Help: Code 20 - Electrical load detector
just got this code when i cranked my car up this morning out of nowhere along with a code 65 at the same time. im not worried about the 65 as i think the 20 causes it to pop up. and my speedo is also not working....... anyways i have replaced the alternator sensor fuse underneath the dash cus i found that it was blown............ and it blew again shortly after. what should i check next?
if this helps i installed a vafc about a week ago and have NO problems with the way it runs or whatever until now. could something in the wiring have caused this? thanks for any help given to me.

assdime blew that fuse when he ground out the O2S wiring.. so is there any other wiring you modified? Have you checked your work on the VAFC wiring? maybe something is grounding out?

took the R to acura and the guy checked it out and said it was the alternator so i said ok ill replace it myself. well i replaced it and yea........... IT WASNT THE PROBLEM. im ****** pissed off now cus i just spent $200 for no reason. now im just gonna find a fuse box from somebody and see if the ELD fixes it. any other ideas? i am so ****** pissed off right now cus i havent had a car for 3 days and i am having serious withdraws from vtec
lemme know if you guys can think of anything else..... thanks

did you ever get this problem fixed?? I think the same thing is wrong with my car and was just wondering if it was indeed the ELD...
Disconnect everything not stock and see if the fuse still blows. If the fuse does not blow, reconnect things one at a time until the fuse blows. Or get out your DVOM and find the short-you will need a Helms or the factory ETM.
The 12v switched source to the O2 sensor(s) is on the same circuit as the ELD. There is a short somewhere in this circuit. Find the short and repair it. This will be lots of fun to do but you will have to do it in order to solve your problem.
Good luck.

oh yea forgot to post back the results........ anyways it turned out to be the secondary o2 not sure if there is a short somewhere in the harnes or in the o2 itself but i unplugged it and havent blown a fuse yet. so now im gettin an o2 simulator to make my o2 code go away instead of spending 200 on a new o2.
btw...... i think the o2 just went bad and shorted out. when i welded the bung in my cat i welded it in so the o2 would be sittin a little past horizantal, when it is supposed to be vertical. well when i took it out it was totally covered in water from condensation in the exhaust, so i figured the water got inside the o2 and caused it to make a short. lemme know if the water could actually cause this type of thing
