Having problems with idle....

Default Having problems with idle....

My car idles funny now. it goes from 2k, to 1.5k and then down to 1.1k rpms. it does jump when motor is cold..

I think its the tps or iacv..

Anyone knows how much these will be to replace, my fking warrenty just went up in october..

anyone have a tps or iacv?

I had a coolant emp sensor go bad and cause that symptom.

I just ordered a new coolant temp sensor and replaced it. I think it was like $50. There are several thing that can cause this. You need to check to see if a code has been stored before you start spending money unnecessarily.

Yep, just because it isn't illuminated, that doesn't mean one hasn't been stored.

only detected my test pipe... no other..

ok im clueless, it cant be my tps because it hasnt throw a code.. where is the iacv located...

when i let off the gas now.. it sputters...

this weekend, im gonna disamble the whole thorrtle body and cleaning it..

hopefully tomorrow we can fix it..

figured out the problem, bad pvc valve, replaced it with a ls one. and it runs alot better, but still messed up. soo mi going to acura tomorrow to get a type r one

How can you say you figured out the problem when the car is "still messed up"?

The LS and ITR PVC valve is the same.

You've already tried doing regular maintenance (replacing cap, rotor, spark plugs) to see if that got rid of the problem, right?

Probably the best thing to do in your situation is to take the car to someone that knows what they're doing before you waste more money replacing parts that weren't broken.

i think its a combinatoin, of my pcv valve, my intake manifold gasket is ripped (i can see it)....

soo we gonna put my hondata gasket in..

does the hondata gasket replace the factory one?
