Default Having ignition promblem

just like the title says I'm having ignition problem. Well I notice my distributor Was leaking some oil Well I change the O-ring .

I put the distributor back in. Turn the car on everything sound good as soon I took off I just felt the car so week like it didn't have any power. I need help any tips u guys can help me.

Did you mark where the dizzy was? What I mean, is take a scribe or something to make a line from part to part... then line it back up when putting it back on.

Dizzy can mess up timing and if not back in the exact same spot that could be your culprit.

Sounds like you need to time the car again.

Yeah i forgot to market before i took it out

Is there anyone from Chicago that wants to give me a hand to adjust my ignition timing. I will pay labor plus 20$ for gas.

Ok I try to adjust my timing try to put it to 16BTC.

I move the dizzy but it does not even reach 14BTC it stay in the middle of 0BTC and 14BTC. I dont even know what to do now??


Any tips

BTW my egine light stays on and ABS SRS.

You have a helms manual? Thats the only tip for you I have besides to never not mark it again. I don't know how to time either, so sorry for the not so much help.

its kool thanks man..

I talk to one of my friends and they told me that orinal specs will not do me any good because my motor is fully built..Im not sure if they are telling the truth. ??? Does it really matters?

How can u tell when the Coil & ICM are going bad?Any one knows the symptoms or how to check it?

When you set the timing you need to short out a clip so the ecu doesn't compensate and move the timming back.

Yeah i found the problem it was the timing belt it jumped timing plus the belt was loose too.

I notice another problem before i try to adjust timing ..I notice it has a vacuum leak on the intake manifold..

I notice that i couldn't adjust timing . can a u still Adjust timing if u have a vacuum leak??

Seems you have more problems than just ignition timing. Take the car to a tuner and let them take care of it. Have them fix the timing belt, vacuum leak, and timing. I'd tow it. Honda B-series motors dont take well to t-belt failures.

Well I already adjust my timing belt to specs.. But one of my friends should be coming to fix the vacuum leak. . well let see how everything goes.

Did you ever fix the t-belt? When the belt jusmps teeth, it could cause internal damage.

Or could be a problem with the belt in the first place. How old is the belt?

I cant remember how many miles it has but it was replaced .. We found the Vacuum leak it was coming from intake manifold gasket and throttle gasket.. He notice it was Leaking exhaust from the flange connected from the test pipe
