Function 7 LCA's are probably the best on the market OTHER than stock LCA's haha. They are among the only aftermarket LCA's that both look sick and retain stock strength and driveability. They are very expensive however as you've found out. I believe Kingmotorsports.com sells them though...

I've had zero issues with my PIC units. Though they are no longer FS, they make an excellant replacement part.

I should have included those in my response above. Good call. I thought PIC was going to be selling a complete package soon that had new LCA's, bushings, suspenion, etc....like the package won at Expo? I was actually looking forward to buying this haha

Well, don't get the 2 confused. PIC is working on bushings and hardware which is NOT the same as their rear LCA's. the LCA's given away to Chris at Expo were stock ITR LCA's. Their "upgrade" or "performance" LCA's are no longer socket style like the stock ITR strut, and are different shape and there are different bushings. They are a goldish in color. I'll dig around and see if I can find a pic of mine installed.

If We-Todd was still up!!! ( on Craig) it would be there. I'll either have to get another, or find one on my home PC.

Thats a good point. Make sure when you order the Function 7's, go ahead and get the bushings. You might as well do all the bushings around the whole car. You'd be surprised how well our cars will handle with solid bushings all the way around on a stock suspension haha

just curious, branching out on this, whats the downfall to having spherical bushings? a bumpier/stiffer ride?

do NOT use Spherical Bearings on the street. Use poly, or other bushings... but sphericals are designed for racing applications, not street. They are noisy as hell too.

On another note, I did get a pic of the PIC LCA's, I'll host and post shortly.

Summit racing makes it pretty easy to replace all the bushing (of your choice) on our cars...I believe Poly bushings as well, which will definately give the car a whole new feel. I looked into it once and it was pretty cheap compared to buying from other companies. The hardest part of all this is removing the stock bushings haha...

Here is the PIC LCA... notice it's fork, not socket style.

could you elaborate on that a little, why you shouldnt use spherical bearings on the street, i ask because i was thinking about getting them, and whould like to know the downsides

from what i gather is that spherical bearings have virtually no play compared to a bushing and that means a fairly harsh ride for a street car

dave why did they decide to go with a normal rlca compared to the itr, was it just for ease of manufacturing a part that will fit all integra's or did they not see a need to stick with the stock itr socket style

^^^the simplest answer would be availability. the number of R's available compared to a regular integra its not worth it and the fact that not everyone that owns an R will purchase their set decreases the chances of them producing it and making it affordable for the customer.

Poly bushings have been getting a lot of hate recently in some of the other forums. It seems hard rubber is the current bandwagon, but the arguments make sense (no binding issues, longer lifespan, etc).

I replaced my stock trailing arm bushings with spherical bearings (yes, in my DD) and they're not exactly conducive to a smooth ride. As mentioned there is no play whatsoever. It's generally recommended to stay away from them on a street car due to the lifespan being significantly shorter than the alternatives.

Yep, they were all OEM parts, with upgraded bushings and bearings. They did do some slight modification to the RLCAs, but only to press in the bushings.
