I'm really sorry to hear about your car; as you could see by the number of pictures taken at TrackDaze at VIR this weekend. I know my son was looking forward to driving in future races with you as much as I was looking forward to watching you race. I hope you get a new ride quickly and I see you on track again. I hope your ok as it takes time for some injuries to show up.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Yeah, there was a lot of that in my experience that day and my instructor was just a frustrated as I was. I'm glad I got the last event in and I hope to see you and everyone else again sometime in the future.
Also, I realize everyone wants to be first in line, but PLEASE stop asking me what I'm doing with the car and if I'm interested in parting it out and selling it. When the insurance dust settles, I'll make it clear what will happen to it. Thanks.
What a tragedy. Sorry we couldn't get together and do a little back and forth on the track. The one time I though I was going to get close, I got a late point by and couldn't make up the ground.
At least you had fun with it up until the very end! Great to meet you Greg, hope to see you back at the track someday.

Needless to say, it was a very tense moment when I picked up the phone and it was Gregory's wife telling me that my brother had been in an accident. Cars can be replaced, but but people can't. I'm extremely thankful that he was able to walk away, and only hope that any injuries he sustained don't manifest themselves more as time passes.
Seriously, I'm certain this is the last type of thing he wants to be reading at this point. Any additional vultures will have their posts removed entirely.

Damn dude. Its accidents like this make me watch my rear view like a hawk. Glad you're ok now.
I had a similar much less serious accident with my integra this past summer. Insurance offered me much less then what I expected and I told them to shove it and showed them proof of how much these cars were selling for. Next offer was much better
Good luck.

Since the part requests keep coming in, I'm just going to start ignoring them at this point. I'm sorry if that's taken as being rude but I can only repeat myself so many times.

Sorry for the loss. The pics look absolutely devastating....and coming back from a day at the track too...can't imagine how I'd feel after owning an R for 13 years, to have it be taken away in that manner...in any manner actually...glad no one was seriously injured.

Not that it matters but I'd like to know what the driver that hit you was doing at the time of impact. After being rear ended when I was only 16 I watch my rear view mirror constantly. Still above all I'm glad you are OK.

Looking in his rear-view mirror at a woman making a u-turn who was stopped in her lane, about to drive into the grass median. I had slowed down as I passed her.

Would insurance look at sales ads for 1997s? Your R has about the same mileage (couple hundred off) as mine so if you need, I can find the old for sale post I used to find it.
