I have a problem with my CD player reading that code when trying to play cd's, happens intermittently. Right before it will display this code the cd's playing will have really poor sound quality. Its must be reading it poorly or something.
Anyone else had the same problem and have been able to repair it?

It doesn't have anything to do with the cd but the player it self. If its under warranty than just have it replaced. If not you might as well get a new one or an aftermarket one. The Acura dealer quoted me like $250 to fix it.
I said **** that and got an Alpine.

Yeah I found an archived post where some ITR owners were able to use a "lens cleaner" cd to repair the problem.
Worth a try.

i got the code for a while with my stock radio, but after a while it stop popping up, then i went wit an aftermarket radio. I'd say go aftermarket too if u continue to get a code.
it would be an interesting thread to see who still has their stock radio. if it hasn't been a thread already

Well I bought one of those lens cleaner cd's. The cd player hasnt faulted since I cleaned it so we will see how things go after a while. Probably fixed it though.

It's a temporary fix, the cd lense cleaner.
Mine doesn't work ever... it got progressively worse over a period of six months or so. I should have got it fixed, but now I just listen to my ipod/itrip and have no motivation to fix the cd player (team lazy y0).
