No idea what the actual problem is, but I had it occur on my old GSR.

Take the deck out, and take the top cover off. Hook it back up to the power supply and try to install a disc. When I did this, I noticed that it wasn't spinning, so I touched the disc and moved it with my finger tips. The CD player then started spinning the disc like normal, and I never had any more problems with it.

I hope it works.

If it's the OEM CD player then I know what the problem is --> it's a piece of crap!

I would get a new deck - but if you want to keep it OEM - then I found a website that has a mention of the "PEO" problem you are having:

Laughed my *** off,

yes the stock stuff is basically junk but, that link was great. I had almost every single problem listed happen with All 3 of my G3 Integras CD players. Currently no problems (probably mostly because I don't use the damned radio at all.)

Good stuff BPR

I just had that problem.
Based on the acura manual PEO code means you are inserting the cd upside down, your have a damaged cd or the lens is dirty from the cd player. What I did to solve my problem was to buy a lens cleaner. Its basically a cd with a tiny brush that cleans the lens. Now here is the problem, to have your lens cleaned by the cd, your cd player has to actually play the cd and then u hear the instructions

Obviously we are buying this because or cd players are not playing the cds, oh well I didnt invent the damn thing. Anyways, I just kept trying to play the cd player cleaner until it finally played the instructions. It cleaned the lens and now i have no problems, maybe the lens had lint or something. I dont know. Just another option to your problem i hope it helps.

same thing happened to my OEM 2000 ITR cd player. Dealer replaced it for free and the new one worked perfect. I';m guessing you can try cleaning cd player or upgrade to another OEM or aftermarket one.

it should work . As long as you can duplicate the problem in front of them. I just brought mine in and showed the service people and they ordered it right away. No questions asked.

I hated that. Yes very annoying. Especially when you're singing to a song and all of a sudden it justs skips ahhh mannn wtf ruins the mood ya know. Anyways, wont hurt to try to see if Acura will replace it.

THEY SOUND GOOD. The car stereo of today is integrated into your vehicle. The sound acoustics and balance have been planned out by the best engineers in the industry. Car manufactures do not make the stereos, they are made by names like Alpine, Bose, Clarion, Pioneer, Panasonic, and other top names. They just don't always put their names on there so it looks like it is made by the car manufacture. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Ugh...terrible statement.

I love Alpine and have an Alpine deck in my car. However, Alpine (98-01) and Pioneer (94-97) did not do good work on making the Integra sound good acoustically speaking. I'm an acoustical engineer by the way. And the Acura TL w/the Bose setup...absolutely terrible. No highs, no lows...hmm, it's got to be Bose.

Yeah, it's just that it can't read the disk.

Edit: Daym! I'm a couple years late, lol.
