Default drive side window problem

so ive has this problem for about a year now but haven't really done anything about it (only because the R has only seen about 1000 miles since August). Anyways here is the problem...
drivers side window goes down fine but when rolling it up it go fine up until half way then struggles a bit then when there about an inch or so left goes up again fine, and when its cold outside the window doesn't go up past half way, i have to help it out by pulling it up with my hand. And the passenger window works fine. Anyone has this problem before?

Thanks
-Fred

This is a pretty common problem for our cars man. Usually you will have to replace your motor or regulator if you want the problem to go away completely. My R has been like that for 3 years now, but the motor is still working, just slowly. I wouldn't worry about it until you can't get the window up anymore.

I'd take the door panel off and check it out. Usually if the motor is trying to do something or making a noise, its the regulator that needs to be replaced. Its an easy job to replace both, but get in there and check everything out. Search also, there are plenty of threads on this issue.

spray some silicone spray on the rubber window track and it will go away. if the window is moving up and down then your reg and motor are fine in almost all cases. the rubber is chaffing up against the glass most likely causing it to be real slow, needs some lube!
