It's an oil filter, but I don't know what car it is for? Thanks.

Edit: Tustin Acura gave me this filter for my car.... for the record, this will NOT work on a Type R. I specifically asked for an oil filter for a 2001 Integra Type R, this is what I got. I want to kknow what it is for so I can flame them when I take it back.

LOL, well Chris, ask them if they're willing to give you an NSX for free so that you can do the oil change and put that NSX filter to good use

If I knew it was an NSX oil filter, I wouldn't have tried. I assumed that the parts department at an Acura dealership would know what to give me when I tell them I need an oil filter for a 2001 Integra Type R.

 

There lies the problem. I used to do that too until they messed up enough times. Now I take the baby-steps approach whenever I deal a dealer.

 

Go to Honda and get the same filter for about 5 bucks cheaper. The civics, integras, CRV's, accords, all use the same filter.
