Default damn code 9 cyp??

i know you have to replace the distributor for that.. but does anybody know why it would come on all of a sudden.. i was driving to a friends house.. car sputters a few time then cel so i pulled over and checked it got code 9

btw its a 97 jdm itr obd2a dizzy obd2a injectors in obd1 car obd1 jdm p30 tuned with crome..

figured this is the r section.. and im sure you guys know alot about the r motors.. so i figured i would ask here.. thanks in advance for all the help..

i used to have my cam gears adjusted +3 intake -2.5 exhaust but i put them back both to 0 0 and put the distributor back to normal with a timing light last week, and i have already re-tuned my ecu.. i do all my tuning myself.. never had any problems

i had that problem a while back. Had to buy a new Dizzy. Seemed like it was misfiring often. But a New dizzy is the answer i believe.
