You might want to concider this. Handy protection, Water injection. Great for Turbo'd car as alittle extra insurance against Detonation.

Good luck.

I boost 18psi daily and never had any problems with my stock radiator, just run a colder thermostate.

I dare say Southern California in Summer would get just a TAD hotter than Austria ever gets. This makes a big difference to turbo'd cars. Re:- Detonation.

It gets just as hot here in Colorado during the summer as it does in CA and my stock cooling system is fine too. All I've got is a cooler thermostat and a bottle of water wetter.
Upgrading couldn't hurt, but I don't think you need it.

ummm guys, fans are ONLY used while you are sitting still.
Out of curiousity, are you actually experiencing an overheating problem? or just trying to be safe?

um.. that is what he's doing. he is getting a fluidine but he is asking what fans he should get with it.
Yes, those fans will be fine to use, but then, you could save money and just use the stock fan assuming it still works. The car shouldn't be overheating with a properly functioning cooling system, which is sounds like he doesn't have currently (until he installs that fluidyne) but the SPAL fan is cool.

Re: CFM enough to cool a Boosted R??? (FyrStarter)
he made another thread about different radiators i think. oh well
he cant use the stock fans because they are too thick, if he uses them with the thicker than stock fluidine, there will not be enough room for the turbo. that is why he is asking about thinner fans.
well, looks like spal works, go get them

dude i got these fans from auaotzone and they work great, i hooked them up as pusher for a shitload of room in the engine bay , i payed
$60 a pice for them and yes the stock fans would have worked with trmmin g but i didnt want to **** with them , i want everything to look neat and porfessional for future features of my car
heres pics with the stock fans in, they did rub the turbo , i couldnt even get the pass fan in with the turbo without doing trimming .
heres with the pushers
heres with the pushers and no turbo in yet
saves a shitload of space as you cvan see, ill piost more next week whent he car is fully done

Re: CFM enough to cool a Boosted R??? (itr206)
in that pic i was considering the same set up, getting 2 12inch spal pushers instead of pullers, but everybody said the proper way to cool is to get a pull fan pulling air through the radiator..anybody experience problems getting pushers??
also i'm replacing the stock radiator becuase it cracked on me so i kick the shiet out of it and bought a fluidyne...also i know fans only work while slow driving, but in california we get traffic like crazy!! also i never had any overheating problems...
thanks, mark

Re: CFM enough to cool a Boosted R??? (R-1303)
The Spal fans are pretty much the best you can get. I use one of the 1360 CFM as a puller fan and one there smaller pusher fans on the other side and in Florida with the A/C on it stays 165-170 Degs all the time.
Remember a puller fan is more effeciant than a pusher , Spal told me you will loose roughly 400 CFM with the same size fan with a pusher. I would also upgrade the thermostat and fan switch too, I use the spoon stat and switch and they work real well.
