I have the jdm b18cR and like last week it started running pretty rich. So I came on here and found out that this could be caused by the weather changing and they said to reset the ecu. So I took out the ecu fuses and let the car sit for 5 mins. And now it seems to be lagging the power that it use to have. Anyone know what could of happen?

 

how do you know it was running rich? Did it throw a code?

 

No bump my whole rear bumper was black from soot.

 

This is a good question...I have experienced this, but it is somewhat hard to explain. Sometimes the car just "feels" different(usually sluggish from 4K rpm up, with more black crap than usual).


I have recently changed my driving habits and this seems to help. I no longer let the car warm up before I drive it, and try to exercise most of the rev range at least once per trip. I used to let it warm up for 3-5 minutes if it was chilly out, now I just get in and go, taking it easy until it is warmed up completely.
