Default rev problems

i searched this topic and cant find anything on it... a drink spilt in the passanger side real close to the ecu, now when i drive and hit about 5000 rpm the car acts kind of like i hit a rev limiter and wont let it go any highter. i took the ecu out and looked inside nothing seems to have gotten wet i un plug it all and i am trying to let it dry out. does anyone know what the wiring harness under the ecu is, it runs to the back of the car, that did get wet if anyone knows anything please help

If it has anything to do with your ECU a CEL will come on and tell you exactly where the problem lays.
