B18C5 Bogging
so my motor use to have an idle that would fluctuate and go up and down. cleaned iacv but no help. eventually car started bogging at 4k rpm or less. then the bogging got so bad, the cel came on and it seemed like the cel got rid of my problems, no more idle problem and no more bogging. the cel threw codes for TPS and MAP. i switched them thinking the plugs were switched but turns out they weren't. my wiring harness was pretty hacked up from the previous owner of the motor so i assumed it's electrical. after MONTHS i finally swapped the entire wiring harness today so it's cleannn with a brand new dizzy. car started up, no cel. took it for a drive and again bogging and idle fluctuating. i drove it back home, shut it off. then 5 mins later decided to drive it again. then to my surprise, it was driving fine. no cel, no bogging, no idle problem. so i thought my problems were gone. later on in the night i went out, and the damn bogging and idle problems came back and was pretty bad. i pulled into a parking lot, shut my car off, startd it back and still had problems. in neutral, i began giving gas but the car would keep bogging down. of course pissed off from spending 8 straight hours swapping the harness and same results, i decided to drive it carefully home. as i exited, the cel came on for the first time since the new harness and the bogging and idle went away. i didn't check the light again yet but if i am throwing the same TPS and MAP codes again, could it be faulty sensor(s) or something else? now i know FOR SURE it's not the harness
