Default Idle problem

this weekend I was getting on the car a bit. After one short quick acceleration my CEL came on, the car drove fine and I said I would get it scanned the next day but the light went away. However, after it came on the car did not idle normal. It would sometimes dip to 500 and then back to 700, especially if the AC is on....whats up? Do I need to raise the idle? If so where is the idle control/valve?(new to K series)

Obv something happened that caused the CEL to come on and the idle to change.
Dont mess the the idle settings since it was prob fine prior to your issue..

As far as the CEL, even if its not on, if you run a diag, you should still be able to see recent codes that were tripped I believe (depending on the diag tool maybe?)

Any other issues after the cel came on? It could be a wide range of things, you have to be more specific...

Do you know what it was? A/C is supposed to cause a dip in the RPM slightly. About a couple hundred rpms usually.

well the idle was bouncing around and going below 500rpm causing the car to vibrate as if it was stalling....anyways everything is perfectly fine now and I was not able to get what the code was, well not with the scanner i used atleast

Probably was fuel related, like a slight clog

It could be the o2 sensor, could also be the map sensor.

Test the o2 sensor buy hooking up a volt meter, if the voltage flucuates it's good and if it doesn't it's bad.
