An apology and a promise!
One of the hardest things for a man to do is admit when he is wrong. Well, I was wrong. R&Ds been around for almost 5.5 years and for the past couple of those years, we've not been treating customers that way we should. Call it lack of focus, laziness, too much on the agenda - whatever you will. Regardless, there is no excuse.
Back when we started, I loved coming to HT and I made MANY friends - most of which would have never crossed paths with me had I not left my engineering sales job to venture out on my own and do something I've always loved - play with Hondas.
I got caught up in the passion aspect - racing is an addiction - and that is, unfortunately where the focus shifted. I stopped posting here - HT got us STARTED and I STOPPED coming here? - and got too focused on the quest to win. The something that had to give, did, and to those of you who faced the brunt, I apologize.
Life is funny, though. Many events in life make you really see things in a different way - clearer maybe. Those of you too young to understand this WILL some day - marriage being the first main life step and then children being the second. This epiphany is probably too short in coming to salvage some customers and I can understand this - certainly - and expect it.
All I can say is this, though. I am tightening down to focus on the future - my future, my families future, R&Ds future. It may have taken awhile in coming, but I understand the changes which need to be made and that's what I am doing.
Ahh, yes, there are loose ends. These will be taken care of.
My poing mainly, is this. We are getting back to our roots. Back to what made us grow in the first place. I have the personnel and the backing to continue what I started - what seems like yesterday - and forge ahead.
I urge you to please, if you have comments or issues, send them to me - sales@randdmotorsports.com - I will read them, take note and action, if need be. Criticism is a great tool for learning and correcting.
I dont want to see this turn into a lengthy thread of debates or comments, good or bad and I ask the mods to police as necessary or even lock this after my post.
My intention is simple - to offer apology where needed and make clear my intention from here on out.
Thank you.

It takes guts to admit when you are wrong, but i am sure you feel better with all that off your chest and we all appreciate your dedication to whats right

Like Jon D said, it truely takes a real man to admit to their mistakes. It is also good to realize that critisizm is a great way to improve and "brushen" up on your skils. I hope Dave and R&D can become an HT player like they were a few years ago.
migs - who has a whole lot more respect for R&D now.

I am glad to see this thread. That took a lot of guts.
I must admit I lost all respect for R&D after my last experience with them. After reading this thread, I have regained some level of respect for them and I will consider doing business with R&D in the future.

I've never had any bad experiences with R&D, but nonetheless I'm glad to see this thread. Dealt with you guys years ago and was pleased, nice to see you getting "back to your roots" as you put it. Hope all goes well from here on out.
