I totally disagree with you here, CW may be the most popular of the colors but it comes down to how mint and original the car is and of course mileage. A Type R is a Type R regardless of what color it is.

surely if the PY one is rarer that will be worth more money? just for the simple fact that you're less likely to find one in such mint condition. failing that export it over here (UK) PY DC2's are like rocking horse poo over here

I know cars aren't exactly and "investment" but eventually if somebody knows these are out there will pay top dollar for these and the number sure as hell won't be in the 20's either.
I would hold on to them, especially since they aren't any sort of liability to you. They certainly aren't going down in value.

when they are out off the garage in april, you and the wife take them too the track for the day and have some fun with the things ( cause we know she says "we don`t do anything anymore") . i daily drive mine everyday, cause the sound off 8400 rpm is something else.

Been selling mine for a while and judging by market prices it's reasonable.
These cars are limited production vehicles that have a high demand, of course they're going to hold their value.
Good luck with your sale, regardless!

There is no guarantee that they will go up in value. If they do though banks will loan money on cars deemed collector cars. The bank loaned my Dad 19K for a mint low mileage 87 Grand National. He could have paid cash but didnt want to part with that much money all at once in this economy.

Re: 2 Low Mileage ITR Values
If I were in the market for a mint ITR, I would gladly pay $25k for either one.
BUT, living with an ITR is such a pain in the a$$. All the paranoia isn't worth it for me at this point in my life.
If I were you, I would sell them for no less than $25k/each to the right buyers and use the cash to snap up good property (ies) at discount price in this economy.

Have you decided on selling your PY ITR? If you could take some detailed pics once you drain the fluids and take it for a test drive, I would really appreciate it.

just me but seams almost sad that these cars just sit there, then again I don't even drive mine more then once a month (est 31k) if I'm lucky but, that is a different situation.

Re: 2 Low Mileage ITR Values
I'm glad you are in the position to sit on them until you are offered a price that makes you happy. Someone who will pay that much over going price, will surely respect the caR for what it is. If that person doesn't come along, it will be fun to see it at the Barrett Jackson auctions! My wife also parks in the driveway
I need to hit the lottery so I can make us both happy!!!
