will i pass smog??
i was gonna swap a jdm b18b and knew i w*ould pass smog easily however i took a look at the b20s and i've gained interest in them.. would a jdm 96-98 b20b from hmotors pass smog in cali (san diego to be exact). its a 94 ls if it matters

B20 will not pass smog in the state of california, because it's considered an SUV engine....not legal to swap into car!

at first i thought b20 wouldnt pass, but recently my friend in mira mar that work for the state ref station just pass a b20 in an eg.
what happen was that he bought a car to go to work and school, didnt know the motor was swap since he didnt really care.. the state ref where my friend work help him change everything to integra, and he passed and bar..

you can try, but what the guy posted above, sounds like a hook up to me! My question to you is, why do you what a B20, when you already have a B18? IMO B18 is way better...and if you want the displacement, just bore out the B18...and drop some dart sleeves in that bad boy!

it was cheaper 
and im kinda on a budget i wouldn't mind the b18 but i just wanted something quick but if i can't pass then i'll just stick with the JDM B18B motor only if it was a B18C

jdm b20 will pass. my boy work at state ref told me he ref a b20 in eg. all they did was change fuel injector and little minor ****, like ecu, and some other ****. not hard.

lol wow.. i called hmotors and said how much for the b18b long block to san diego.. they said 749.. but i thought that was the price?? and then i called again to validate that and this girl picks up now and says they dont ship LOL ... anyone would know ho wmuch to san diego??

300 for them to ship, usually i go there and pick up.. is not that far. you going to get a ls? why dont save up a drop in a gsr?

damn i would but no trasportation and **** me and jason are down ahaha but we aint got a truck or anything.. dont have enough for a gsr logn block haah if i did id have to save up again for paint and all that **** again
