Default Will the Acura TL HIDs work in a 98+ headlight?

I'm thinking about buying it but I'm wondering if the Acura TL HIDs will work in the 98+ headlights. I'm not sure if the TL uses d2s or d2r bulbs so I need to know. Lemme know, thanks!

if one doesnt do a retrofit, is it better to use the d2s or the d2r hid bulbs in the halogen projectors of a 98+ teg? i was thinking that since the d2r are made for a reflector style housing, maybe there wont be as much glare if u put these in the halogen projectors. anyone have first hand experience with this?

you cant use d2r in any projector. it just doesnt work that way. d2r are only meant for reflectors and d2s are only meant for projectors. so if you try to stick a d2r in a projector, first it wont fit, second the light wont shine rite or not even shine out at all.

and im sure the older tls uses d2r but the tsx and the newer tls use the d2s. which year tls are you considereing?

you shouldnt put ANY hids in ANY halogen projectors. they are not made for hid bulbs and will only leave you with terriable glare, no cut off, and basically a VERY crappy headlight.

i know this is a lil late but its good info to have one here.

you would use d2s for a projector housing. as for the integra stock housing. You will get a cutoff, just now sharp. You wont get that much glare either. The major problem is hotspotting instead of an even light distribution on the ground you will get with a HID housing.
