Default what does missing link do?

the thing is when i ordered my turbo kit, it came with a missing link. To be honest i dont understand the point of them, and how no one i know that has a turbo car has one. Is it even necessary, or a good thing to have??żż

basically it tricks your ecu into thinking that there isnt any added boost that way it doesnt throw a code.

i think is goes on the throttle body or the intake manifold underneath one of the sensors. i would take a look at the shape of the missing link thingy and see which spot on the TB or IM match that shape and you are all set

It's so you don't throw a map sensor code. It bolts under the map sensor.

It is a check valve so that the MAP sensor doesn't see boost and throw a CEL. It goes in between the throttle body and MAP sensor.

its good to have, turbo honda's usually have check valves, which look like crap to me. the missing link looks much better and works great. like everyone said it tricks the ecu into thinking there is no boost so it wont throw a CEL. but heck if you dont want it thats up to you, they go for about $60 or so!
