What to do first?
Well i have saved up five thousand dollars to invest into my completely stock '00 GSR. All i have so far is a system which i put in last month. So keeping under a five thousand dollar budget, what kinda mods should i do to my car? Right now im looking for just performance mods. I will do more mods later so im looking for things to start off my project car. Im still kinda new to cars so brand names would be cool. Thanks
go for a fully greaddy turbo kit with a small greaddy intercooler. it should cost around 3000 installed. if you live in the seattle area i know a place that can get the kit for under 3000 installed. good luck

if i had 5000 i would put a jackson racing s/c on my GSR. Its all about what you want to do. If you are wanting to stay n/a and dont want to run forced induction then i would go by getting a AEM, Injen, Comptech CAI. Get a comptech 4-2-1 header, or SMSP. Get probably a Apexi N1 or Tanabe racing medalion catback exhaust. Its all about where you want you car to be, hope this helped...
if ur bidgeting $5K build the block, sleeves, larger bore, forged pistons, forged H beam rods.
if you really have to stay all motor i would say get a JG IM & TB or similar paired equivalent, some crazy cams and a good i/h/e

Build bottom end, build head with valves, springs, retainers, cams, cam gears. Run 11:1 compression. Raise rev limit, get intake manifold, header, exhaust, cold air intake. You can get this all for 5k, but labor will cost you.
Damn 5g's. You can always send your head to JG Engine Dynamics, get the Pro Series job. Or maybe a fully build short block. S*** 5K dollars, there's not enough time to contemplate the possibilities. With that money whatever you do is got to turn out great. Good Luck.
Why stay NA?? that is the question? WIth the kind of $$ you could do a sick turbo kit, fuel management, forged internals, exhaust, etc. and have the car be as reliable as NA..IF you do stay NA get the usual I/H/E clutch, flywheel, and a sick suspension set up. THe possibilities are endless. If you want any advice I have a shop and wouldnt mind spending some time with you picking parts and such..let me know

also, an ITR spoiler will bolt on, but youll be left with 2 holes.
i wish i had a 5k budget....
