Turbo my Gsr?
what do you guys think of getting a turbo for my GSR? I'm looking to spend around 3000 dollars for a kit. I know nothing about turbos...so if someone could explain to me all the parts i need, and what each one does. that'd be great. In the future after i get my turbo, i'm gonna invest in an intercooler, but i think thats as far as i'll go as for power to my car. Of course by the time i get my intercooler i bet i'll have more ideas of what to do. Anyways, what kinda power am i looking at producing with just a turbo kit? how bout a turbo with intercooler? I don't really want to change my pistons, is that required?

oh...well i don't have money to buy it right now. I wanna know how much everything is gonna cost me though so i can compare my ideal turbo set up versus my ideal n/a set up. The greddy kit is like 3200 dollars and it doesn't even come with an intercooler? Whats up wit dat? is that way overpriced or what?

You should definitly turbo it if u want it fast..
Hang out on here(honda-tech and forced induction) before you buy a kit and learn as much as you can.. Probably by the time you have the money for the kit, you will have the knowledge to go along with it and you will make a much better decision and be happier with your purchase.

WOW, only 3200? good deal! how much power are you making to the wheels? Would it be worth getting an exhaust or headers if i'm going to get a turbo? I'm leaning towards the FI route and i don't want to buy anything that i'm gonna have to sell later on. Also, whats a safe amount of boost to run so i can keep my car running for awhile? how come n/a is better than turbo on the race track?

Re: Turbo my Gsr? (B-18C1)
I thinkin N/A much faster by weight reduction. As for turbo full interior. Well if your goin to go turbo you won't need header but definitely an exhaust is a must. Don't go with a 2.5-3" if your not turbo yet your low end will be hurt (too much back pressure). If I were you just get a turbo kit thats comes complete like Drag, Revhard, or F-Max. If Greddy you will need a few parts here and there its not complete. Save up
