What difference would a V-AFC make for my ls/vtec
I have a 90 integra bottom end with a 90 jdm b16a head. I have 12.5 compression pistons, milled head, machined bottom end, bored out 82mm over, and the rods are shot pined. I am just not sure what the v-afc will do for me. My vtec hits in at 5,000rpms and last until 8,200rpms. What would I set the vtec controller to? air, fuel, and when the vtec hits in. Thanks

If you could get it on a Dyno and manipulate the A/F ratio you should be able to squeeze a little more horsepower out of the LS/VTEC.

dont touch your vafc until you get opn the dyno, more than likely tuning you vafc to your a/f gauge will cause you to blow your motor unless you have a wideband ,
i got 10hp to the wheels from a good vafc tune .its well worth it in my opinion

its most important to get your air/fuel ratio correct. running too rich can lead to ring damage, and running too lean can lead to detonation.
you'll also get some more power out of your motor, by altering vtec points possibly and a correct air/fuel ratio.

i have yet to see chaning the vtec point help on any car other than a turbo application , more than usually it ***** things up by screwing with the vtec

i have seen it help on several cars here in tampa. nothing drastic, but its possible to have a more even power curve with lowering the vtec point from 5600 to 5200...etc. obviously it depends on the individual setup, what cams you're running, which motor you have, etc..

The engine detnated and blew the head gasket. The shop that built the motor put gs-r 12.5 compression pistons in there. With my strock it puts me at about 13.5 to 14.5. Now I have no use for a V-AFC now that engine is useless. Thank for all your help.

I bought the whole car for $700 with the b16a swap. I just took off the head off and parted out the rest.
