what is the best head conversion?
i have a 1995 integra ls with a burnt valve so i need to pull the head off anyway
so i've had some people say the gsr head will not work but most say it does
thats the conversion i am most interested in. i have tried to look around for some good conversion info but can't get a clear answer and not much time left before she is running
no more. if someone can give me some head swap info or point me to a good resource
site i would be grateful.....thanks

The P72 head (GSR) will offer about .2 more compression than the PR3 head (B16, B17 and Type R). Personally I don't think that a P72 head is the best option due to the unnecessary increase in compression as well as the generally inflated price of P72 heads as compared to early PR3 heads.

Not according to a lot of flow benches. Apparently the claim that the PR3 head outflows a P72 head by a significant margin isn't entirely true. Search in the All Motor section and you should be able to find flow bench charts that shows a stock PR3 head flowing at about the same rate as a stock P72 head. Plus with the added compression of the P72 head, it's usually a better bet for extremely high horsepower applications. I still think your best bet is to look for a PR3 head, based on price and availability.
