i just did a b16a swap in my 90-1 integ.
currently i'm still using my LS ecu cause my b16a one is getting chipped. I was told the LS ecu would still work temporarily but no vtec. The car started and all but the idle is fluxuating. once i give it gas it runs good. kinda sounds like it wants to bogg out at idle. could it be the ecu, or could it be i messed up somewhere in the swap? any ideas would be helpful. thanks in advance

Re: weird idle (sgvprelude)
its hard to tell until u get the right ecu...id suggest u to borrow someones ecu just for few hours at least u can narrow down the problem...once the ecu is there and still idle the same way then u know for sure that ecu is not the issue

Re: weird idle (smkngsr)
Yea, or maybe a vacum line. Mine would idle wierd for a few minutes(especially when cold) but then settle down to normal range. And everyone said its a vacum line, haven't got it fixed yet.

Re: weird idle (sgvprelude)
my buddy had the same problem in his hatc when we installed a b18c . we used his stock ecu and it would die everytime. then we put my buddies skunk2 chipped p28 in there and it ran light awesome. then we put the other ecu back in and figured it do the same thing.. it didnt , it ran fine with the old ecu after we tried the other... i have no idea what it was all about , but we drove home , went and bought a new skunk 2 chipped ecu for $200 slapped her in there and man his car flies now...WoohOOo! b18c in cx hatch
