Misfire on cylinder 3 on my cousin's gsr, water in spark plug area, did search, AMBIGUOUS
i have a 1998 Gsr and it started to misfire a little under partial and wot, we checked the code and it was 73 (misfire on cylinder 3). We did searching on here and it said that there is a possibility that the valve cover seal might be bad OR the spark plug wire boot seal might be bad. There was a little bit of water in just the cylinder 3 spark plug housing. We drained it out, cleared the code and took it out. It seemed fine for the first 5 miles and now its missing again with the same symptoms. We pulled the plug wires again and there was no water this time. I recently washed my engine, but i did have the spark plug cover on the valve cover. We pulled all the plugs and they are all brownish in color which is normal. Do you think the misfire could be due to the fact that somehow the third spark plug got messed up by the water even though there is no water in there anymore? Any suggestions, Im gonna go ahead and replace the plugs seeing as they need it, but what about the seals/gaskets? Anyone?

check the dizzy cap and rotor...sounds like you got water in the ignition system from when you cleaned the motor

Dry out the distrubotor as mentioned.
I had the same issue after cleaning the engine bay of one of my cars before and just flooring it and driving it around dried everything up and it started running normal.
