VTEC light
Im working on a new "engine indicator light" or "EIL"... i figured out that if i unplug my MAP sensor,a super-tight looking picture of an engine comes up on my dash. Also my car almost dies... but who cares about performance, its all about show!
Warning, EIL installation might make ur car not work.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention my "brake indicator light" ... basically this is how u do it if u want to make one urself...
1. open up your altezza style tail lights (or stock ones, if u are so unfortunate)
2. Clip wires to 1 or more Brake Bulb(s)
3. Add speaker wire and run it behind your dash...
4. Cut a 1/4"-3/4" hole in your guage cluster.
5. Attach bulb(s) to wire and place within hole. Hot glue it into place.
Vwa La! You did it, you now have a "brake indicator light" (BIL for short)... its sooo cool, cuz now you finally know if you are hitting the brakes or not...
Heres another cool thing, when the Red "BIL" comes on, the "MPH Guage" starts dropping... this might be important information when dyno-tuning..
I highly suggest dyno-tuning with the "BIL" in the "OFF" "Position"
Got it?

Im also working on a "Rice Boy Indicator Light" but the problem is that it is SO bright, and on all the time, so it keeps wearing down my battery... but either way, looks tight
--oh god, I could go on w/ these jokes forever.

Damn...There sure are alot of haters in this thread.
If the post topic doesn't interest you, why even make a comment?
(Especially a mean and/or hateful one)
I don't like "ricers" either...but I don't flame them for asking questions!!

i dont get it, im just looking for sumthing cheap and fun to do, whats with all the gay comments.
ha ha, im not hatt'n guys... just giv'n u a hard time. In all honesty I think the VTEC light isnt such a bad idea if u are just looking for something fun to do. Dont worry bout it. BTW if u want to know how to make the light, go to http://www.JDMfan.com
Hey, I agree with you guys, there are lots of haters on this website..
In some ways its good because it keeps people from being ricey, and keeps this a high-class website. But sometimes u just want to know "why or how" and people tell u ur a *** and cus at you.
I was just being funny and scarcastic, didnt mean anything buy it.

itskool, im just looking for sumthing i can do. i thought of this because it was cheap and would be kinda cool looking. at least im not sum ricer that would make a VTEC light and not even have a VTEC motor
ok, sorry to bring up this old topic but i have a question that's been bugging me for the longest time. my question is: should i put some kind of fuse between the bulb and ecu? i know that led's never burnout but i'm using a bulb from a toy train set and worried that the bulb might eventually go out and end up shorting out the ecu. are there any ways to protect the ecu? also, are there any kind of devices that allows electric current to run one way? i'm asking this because i attached a toggle switch to my alarm siren and am also worried that this might also harm the alarm itself whenever i engage the toggle switch.
that is a great question... I dont think however that an LED will cause a short... I would ask this question in the Audio section... or actually go to Radio shack and take the diagram that comes on http://www.jdmfan.com ... they should be able to answer that question. Generally when an LED burns out it does not short, it will simply cut flow in that circuit.
Yes, there are electrical componants that keep electric flow in one direction.. they are called diodes.. as you may recall an LED is a Light Emmitting Diode.. so in essence, the LED will do the job it'self.
Just follow directions on http://www.jdmfan.com .. u wont have problems.
