Above ~5500 rpms my engine seems to stall a bit at full throttle.

I thought maybe my oil pressure was low, so I checked my oil. Sure enough it needed a quart. However, the problem still exists.

I'm running a 97 jdm gsr in my 91 teg. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Anything else I should check? Thanks.

Could be the soleniod, could still be low oil pressure. Just because your car has oil in it doesn't mean its making good pressure. Take off the soleniod and spool and clean them out.

 

oh my god. could someone elaborate here? i'm not stupid, i'm just not as knowledgable (sp?) as most of you. where's the solenoid...is it that small cannister looking thing at the left end of the cam shaft? how do i take it off? and what is the posi wiper motor? or the aluminum hybrid rotor tensioner? hmmm...does anyone have any recommended reading for me? maybe i could just teach myself, unless you are generous enough to talk me through this.... thanks guys.

for a second i thought you were serious... the vtec solenoid is next to the disributor.. with the green lookin thing on top
