ok i searched but nothing like my problem.

I have a ls v tec ls block gsr head. Block has 12.5 pistons and head has skunk 2 pro 2 cams it has valvetrain and rods and everything. Its still not tuned i threw in a p28 with a skunk2 stage 3 chip just to ride right now to put some miles in there. My vtec doesn't seem to be popping at all and the thing is i have no check engine light so i can't check it i have to guess. The vtec solenoid works and computer is good and so is oil pressure but it still doesn't pop anyone had this happened b4 or might now any ideas?
