Default VTEC HELP!!!

my B20 vtec wont let me go past 4200rpms it just stops like it would have a rev limiter and i was wondering if that could be DIZZY thats messed up

I know that something happened to my buddy in his Prelude a while back, and he found it it was because he had hardly any oil left.. might be something to check, but its probably not.

The ECU may be in limp mode. Are there any CELs?

ya there is but when i pin it it wont shoot me the codes anymore so i can figure it out

i dont think so cause i just got it from Xenocron and it was done to my engines specs....but it jsut wont let me rev all the way cause it acts half way like it has a rev limiter

Sounds like you're not meeting the requirements for engaging vtec. I would doubt it is the ecu.

Who did you're B20VTEC? If someone else did it ask them if they made sure to put everything together correctly.

And get that code checked out, that's the easiest way for diagnosis.
