V-Tec???
I did a conversion from obd2 to obd1, at first my vtec engaged at around 4500 rpm with the skunk 2 chip, now it engage at 5500, anyone know what happen???
my mods:
Dc header/exhaust
skunk 2 cam
skunk 2 cam gear
68 mm holley tb
aem cold air

LOL... Different chips use different vtec engagement points...
Is it a GSR? Cuz if you are running the stock intake manifold it could be that the secondaries just aren't opening up, so it SOUNDS different to you. Other then the obd1 gsr ecu, no other obd1 ecu's manage the secondaries. So that could be it too.

sorry for not being cleared on the question. I had the same setup but recently my distributor fell off, timing was off, so now go everything together but v-tec engaged at 5000-5500 rpm. what could cause that to hit high now???
