i have a 90 teg with a b16.... my v-tec is not kicking in.... ne help... thanks

bump.... oh i got a cel for the vtec oil pressure switch and i replaced it and still getting the cel... ne other ideas

Check your oil pressure, then override the switch.

not trying to get one its just every reply for people is search... and thats the easy way out and no one want to help ne one ne more.... i could understand if it was something like brake light not working when everyones car would be the same problem

There is no link in the FAQ, but there should be.

1) Is the ECU stock?
2) Any CELs?
3) Is the oil level full?
4) Have you checked the VTEC solenoid screen?

it is a chipped ecu... there is CEL... oil level good... solenoid screen?

Pull the code for the CEL. That is in the FAQ thread. TYhe VTEC will most often not engage with a CEL.

damn i forgot it been about a month since i messed with it... i know it had vtec oil pressure switch... i replaced the switch and cleared the codes and it came back

EDIT: i believe there was 3 codes i will get them and post later
