Default type R header

hey guys i was wondering if a stock type r header with a 2.5inch collector would preform well and give me more power for my set up. i have a b18b1 with 404 cams and valvetrain kit and the regular bolton's. and would i gain more power with say a DC sport 4-2-1 header with a 2.5 inch collector. would there be any differance

it will give a decent amount of power, ground clearance will be an issue if your lowered or plan to, but what are your horsepower goals?

You would be looking for a jdm itr header if you want a 2.5 inch collector. A header is a header, so unless you want every little .01hp because you're building a racecar, it doesn't really matter as long as it's stainless steel.

That seems more true with intakes, but with a header?

If you compare a DCsports, to a Hy-tech, there will definitely be difference.
