Default turn off engine check light without fixing the problem?

My o2 sensor needs to be replace and I dont have the money right now to fix it. the cars obd2 and i took the sensor off(its the one connected to the cat converter).

How would I turn off the check engine light off without replacing my 02 sensor? can I just take out the light bulb?

thanks

Taking off the light bulb is one way. Actually it's the only way (if you use a scanner, the light will just come back on in 15 mins of driving).

Why not just deal with the light until you fix the sensor? It'll be a reminder for you to get it done asap.

Leave light and fix it when you get the $60

I would consider getting a used sensor atleast. I mean you already took the time to get under there and disconnect it. A friend or a junk yard maybe?

Can't be THAT BAD with the light... I mean, think about it. You might forget that you even have a bad sensor and you'll be all lost as to why the hell your gas mileage is all crappy and ****. Yenno?

The check engine light on is another way of your car telling you how much it hates you for not taking better care of it....... jk
