Tranny question

Tranny question
I just put a new tranny on my LS and it is hard to shift into gears. it take a lot of force to go into each gear even coming into neutral. can ne one give me some idea whats going on and what i can do to fix this

penzoil synchromesh. yeah it looked ok its a 3 puck clutch. but i dont know why the clutch would have ne thing to do with it. the clutch is working fine

well you know that with the clutch it will be stffer than stock and grab harder, but does the tranny make any sort of noises...cause mine was having this same problem last week and it started to rattle at high rpm then eventually blew last saturday

i did not hear ne thing. when i as hard to get into gear it almost takes two hands. its not grinding. its just hard to shift

one of the bolts thats on the shifter makes the shifting harder if it's overtightened... I forget which one it's called, but I'll see if I can look it up for ya

It's the bolt that holds the shifter to the shift linkage. Try loosening that a little and see if the shifting gets easier

still havent checked the shifter bolt. i will check that this afternoon and let yall know if that fixes the problem

The Transmission on my car was rebuilt and i put it in the car a few weeks ago. After I put the tranny fluid in, it was still very hard like you say to put it in gear. I used both my hands also to put it in reverse and first gear, but after driving it a little it got softer and softer to shift, now it shifts in to gear normally. My guess is that even though i had put the fluid in, it had not lubricated all the parts and gears in there until I drove the car. Maybe you have the same problem.
