Tokico HP struts
Are the Tokico HP struts adjustable once you get them on the car? I've searched the site but couldnt find an answer. If someone could let me know or gimme the link for a thread with the answer, that would be great. Thanks

HP's (blue) are not adjustable, and really are not good at all for any significant drop.
Illuminas (white) are 5-way adjustable.

like he said HP's are not adjustable. I had them on my car years ago and it was slammed hard. I liked em a lot, but now theres much more on the market. If youre low on cash then go for it

Re: Tokico HP struts (kasso)
different type of suspension component, but all of our hondas all have shocks, not struts.
I dont know why the manufacturers call them "strut tower bars"
**** is annoying.

A Strut is a "shock" that acts as an upper control arm, i.e it helps locate the suspension.
A Shock is just a damper nothing more, it just moved up and down and does not locating of the suspention.
I used to think a strut was any shock that could be removed as one piece and had spring over it, but that is incorrect. Your integra and most 88-2000 hondas are coil-over Shock setup.

Re: Tokico HP struts (Solracer)
Yeah a strut pretty much combines the duties of the coilover damper and spring assembly, the upper control arm, and the upright spindle on our cars into one unit. It's more compact, but not as good for handling, because the tires don't go into negative camber as much when the suspension is compressed as an un-equal length A-arm setup does (like our cars).
And so our cars use shock tower braces.

To expand on this...
Struts are generally "not as good" for two reasons: 1) Since you are using the strut as an upper control arm, its not as stiff as an actual upper control arm, will deflect during cornering, and reduce negative camber from the lack of stiffness. 2) Struts generally have more friction since they not only see load up and down (Axially), but also from the sides (radially).
BMW and Porsche still manage to make struts work though.
