Default Tire sizing wrong

I have 205-40-16 right now on the rims i just got, i know that 195-55-15 is stock size and 205-45-16 would be the closest i can get to stock size. I'm worried if i get 205-45-16 i would have rubbing problems as i did with stock size tires b4, but VERY little problem, do you guys think it'll be worst with the 205-45-16 or the same compared to the stock size?BTW it's goin to be on some rota grids. And i was wondering if i am ripping off my meter by alot with those 40 series. if i'm goin 80mph..how fast am i realli goin?

Your rubbing with stock size tires? How much is your car lowered?

Depends on the offset. I've had 40's before. Personally I dont like em though, I think a 45 looks better.

i just put 205 40 16 on my friends car and it sucks
his speedo read much higher than normal
its like at 85mph but in reality hes only doing 80mph if that
integras need 205/45/16 not 205/40/16
40 series is for 17 inch wheels

I kinda like my speedo error... with my 195/50-15 tires, when my speedo says 77-78 I'm really only going 70. It makes me think I'm going fast when I'm really not, helps me stay out of trouble.

To find out your actual speedo error, find a flat stretch of highway, set the cruise at a certain speed and see how many seconds it takes to cover a mile (use a stopwatch). Then divide that number by 3600 to get a MPH figure.

If you want to be more accurate, time yourself over 10 miles and divide by 360 (assuming you can go 10 miles w/o changing speed at all).

Yes i like that idea too patrick... it makes me stay out of trouble but then i dont want to be puttin on unneed miles on my meter...it degrades your car valve quickly. even tho i dont plan to sell it...
