Default timing?

can anyone tell me the timing for a stock b18c1.? my motors ticking and it's getting on my nerves. any help is much appreciated. thanks

like when the motors running. i don't know how to explain it. like haha tick tick tick? but it's fast. i know it's because the timing is off though. the timing was messed up when i got in an accident

Yep, as everyone else said, sounds like you need a valve adjustment.
From what I've been told it runs around $100 at the dealer.

it could be your manifold clicking which is normal

That is not your timing. As said above, it is most likely a valvetrain issue, or even an exhaust leak.

But, you bring up a good point. What IS the stock timing supposed to be at? Hmm....

ok so everyone is saying valve adjustment. i'll check that out but yes. haha i still would like to know whta the timeing is suppose to be at for my future references. n i don't think it's an exhaust leak. that would make more of a popping noise. are you talking about a leak in like my manifold or in the piping? it can't be in my piping. it only goes back to the cat on my car. i have nothing past that. no money for a catback hahah. needa get one before i go back up to seattle though or ima be gettin pulled over all the time. don't want that. as far as a vavle adjustment, a 100$ at a dealer? haha dun wanna spend that. i'm talkin to a guy right now that's doing his so when time comes i'll ask him how to do it then i'll be sure to post it for you guys. save ya some money.
