Default test pipe o2 sensor

I read on this site that with a test pipe in my 01 gsr i could take out the 02 sensor out of the test pipe, wrap it in aluminum foil and zip tie it underneath my car and the CEL would not be on anymore. i did this and reset my computer and after 30min my CEL came back on. i checked the code and it is code 63. any explanation for this or does this not work at all?
