Default Tenzo or Konig?

I want to get rims for my integ but the rims i want are way above budget (Advan model 7). I noticed that there are immitation ones by konig (tantrum) and Tenzo (M-7) will I notice a big difference between the two? Performance and looks wise>
Thanks

im not that knowledgable when it comes to wheels, wait now that i think about it i dont know much about anything...but what i do know is when youre gonna get wheels, save up for some decent ones...you will thank yourself later...if you cant afford a nice brand new set of Volk's or whatever, look online for a good used set, i know theres a few people on this board that for some reason or another have like 5 sets of wheels...hit them up!

Konigs are decent to say the least. I'd definitely go for those over the Tenzos.

I've had a couple of sets of Tenzo's...I put them thru hell on the street and track (hit all kinds of bumps, potholes, and even a curb!) and they never bent or anything. Not as shitty as most ppl think they are...they're pretty strong from my experience. Most ppl see a low-priced name and automatically brand it as crap. My friends have Tenzos also and no probs and we all drive in the crap streets of LA. If you can afford, or think you can afford in the future, a high-end brand, then go for it. If not, Tenzo's aren't a bad choice. the only thing I noticed when I was looking for wheels was that Tenzos were lighter than most of the Konig, Nippon, and Katana wheels which are their major competition. Most ppl don't try to decide between Volk and Tenzo...it's a matter of what you can afford, and if you can afford Volks, you don't normally look at the lower priced brands. HTH.

wow...I had 40-series on 17's and have driven thru K-town numerous times w/o probs. There's always gonna be bends, it's how often they occur that matters most. I've seen a handful (about 5-6...can't remember anymore) volk te37's bent at the outter rim. Just gotta stay aware of the bumps around you...it helps to be familiar w/ the streets too and just be more cautious if you're in a new area.

I had 16" TRMotorsports Typhoon rims on my old car for over 2 years, and I never bent them, even hitting holes and bumps that threw the front alignment off (and smacking curbs in snow, scratched the rim but not bent). Of course, this was w/ 205/50-16 tires. 50-series is

Yeah, I hate driving around K-town! Regardless of whether there's construction or not, they're always messed up! I haven't gone to Le Prive forever. Actually, I haven't gone to K-town for a while too. Oh well...saves my car and suspension from some of the worst roads around!

i don't think there is a rim that's indestructible...

imo...konig, tenzo, rota...get them if you like em. from what i know, the machines that they use to make them are from japan also...

I never said Tenzo and Konig suck. I personally think they're good wheels for the money and if you like the style and it's in your budget, then it's a good buy. I've noticed that Tenzo's tend to be lighter than most of it's competitors like Nippon and Katana. The "good stuff" refers to forged wheels from companies like Volk, RH, SSR, etc. A lot of the products we buy for our cars cost quite a bit not because of the materials used (most of it's just metal or some alloy which isn't that expensive), it's the trickle down costs of manufacturing that's costly. And the forging process takes more time, labor, and pricier equipment which gets reflected in the costs of the product. Since companies have to spend a lot of initial capital to purchase equipment, labor, parts, etc., they make that up, and then some, in the price of the product.

Integra187, sorry man, no pics of my ride with the Tenzo C's on the computer. I have some pics saved of tegs w/ Racing Hart Type C's. They are very, very similar as far as looks go. The lips on the RH are a little deeper and a couple other small differences. I've had the Tenzo C's for a while and I still love the way they look. I would rather have 18's for looks, but they would slow me down even more.

Tenzo actually has another set of Type C's that's machine finished instead of the painted finish of the normal version. They did this cuz RH came out with their machine finished version of the Type C. It looks pretty nice.

GreenMachine and Integra187: what prices are you getting for the Tenzo C-Types? I might be able to beat them. IM me or email me at jainikke@yahoo.com .
