TDS Sensor
Okay, let me start by saying I don't know much about the mechanics of my Integra GSR. I have a '95 completely stock. I had the 90K service done and when I picked it up the check engine light was on. They looked at it again and told me that the TDS sensor was bad. They say it is integrated into the distributor and to replace it they will have to replace the distributor too and ream me for $467.
I asked what the TDS sensor did and the service manager couldn't tell me- he had no clue but did say that if I let it go eventually my car wouldn't start.
So what is a TDS sensor and how badly is my Acura dealer ripping me off? Can I just ignore this problem safely? Get a second opinion? What should I do?
Thanks,
Fid
