Took apart the Turbo and realized it was the main problem

The turbine was a little chewed up, but it was loose as hell.

My dad has been a mechanic for 40+ years and has never seen a turbo this bad...

Sent the head to Accurate Automotive in Ft. Worth
got everything cleaned, guides replaced, a 3 angle valve job, and got the head resurfaced, only cost 250 and another 130 for the 3 layer solid steel high compression head gasket and head seal kit.

my head and block seems to still be good, cylinder walls are in the same shape, no signs of contact on the head or pistons, it sounds like its just a bearing

B18b1 with a Bad bearing

Sounds like you're going NA with this motor. I honestly would get a new snail, and lower compression pistons to keep running the turbo in your situation, but I prefer N/A myself.

no, I'm gonna boost it with the oem parts.

people boost oem blocks all the time, and this one will be fresh.

hopefully it wont be for long.

havent updated on here in forever, so heres some up-to-date info.

dropped the block at the machine shop to get bored 81.5mm with a .0025mm clearance, decked, vatt cleaned, and coated

ordered:
81.5mm 9.8:1 Arias Pistons
5.394 Eagle H-Beam Rods
ACL Race Main, Rod, and Thrust bearings
81.5mm Cometic Headgasket

received pistons

picked my block up from the machine shop

this has all been done on a strict budget, im not rich by any means.

I bought it turboed, didn't know **** about cars then, blew the hg a month after having it, tune went down the drain and the whole thing just kept getting worse. fixed the headgasket last summer, still ran like ****. Took it to a local shop, 3 months and 1k later i got it back and on the way home it started knocking.... so ever since then ive been saving money to get these parts and rebuild it, and i finally have everything i need to put the engine together.

I have hondata s300 and it will be dyno tuned first thing when i get it running.
