Tach going crazy
Ok my car would'nt start yesterday so I started chasing the the problem. Im pretty sure its ignition I changed out the coil and plugs. And the tach keeps jumping up and down. Could it be wires? It seems to idle fine but one you get on it wont rev past like 5 grand and starts to miss a little. Still not throwing a code. Any pointers would be great Thanks.
your tach dont go past 5k or your engine?
If its your engine you could have a short/ band contact, and your ecu could be messed up as well... More info would help.

Well im going by my stock tach. I will get on it and the engine will stall then all of a sudden shot up to llike 5 grand and act like its hitting the rev limiter. Im starting to think its the igniter in the dist. because I have changed out almost everything else.
Ok I swapped out the igniter still running bad. I checked all my plugs are getting spark. I have a aem fpr and a B&M gauge on my filter. My fuel pressure while idleing is like 50 and if I take off the Vacume hose it jumps to like 60. Can that be the problem. I have no cel coming on but it seems like its running shitty enough I should. Would bad injectors throw a cel? Its either that or bad ecu I think. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE

timing is also good
Compression is 220 all across
My mods are 11:1 Comp Pistons AND Eagle rods
Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
AEM FPR and Fuel Rail
DCSport Header and Greddy Exhaust

i have a simliar problem in my car only min is throwing a 43 code, try changeing the o2 sensor??? that is where im at now...
I think maybe a vacuum leak could cause this too...
