Suspension Problem
Well i had my car out the other night when i probably shouldn't have. It had been nice earlier but then it got cold and there was some moisture on the road. It was pretty slick so i was going slow (summer tires). Well i was coming out of a round about and slid into a curb (believe it or not, i dont care, but i was only going about 10mph. Anys, my rim hit pretty much directly with the curb and it got curbed pretty bad. That's not what i'm worried about. When I drive it, the faster i go, the more the wheel shakes, and when the wheel is turned 100% to the right, it makes a high pitched squeeking noise (only when moving). I'm hoping it's nothing serious, and no I'm not driving my car right now, I've got the daily beater truck doing the work now. I'm just curious what you guys think it would be, i haven't had time to put it up and get a good look at things. When I do take a look at it, what should I be looking for?

PS. Thanks for the help in advance honda-tech!

i thought axel at first. but the car is driveable. i figured if it was somthing serious with the axel it'd be worse. maybe not. more replys!
bent rim sounds like it. shaking with increasing speed = out of balance. out of balance can be caused by a bent rim, or a wheel weight falling off or a huge chunk of rim or tire missing.
as for the squeel when turning the wheel, sounds like metal contacting metal. might want to see whats hitting what. could be something simple like the dust shield for the brake rotor hittin the rim when it turns all the way right because the dust shield is getting snagged or pushed my something.
it wouldn't be a bearing, they make a whirring noise... like swish swish swish swish. as you drive faster that sound repeats faster.
alignment is due after you fix the wheel (by replacement please) and the high pitch squeel.

well i'm not really shure the wheel needs replaced. from what i can tell, it's curbed, but not bent/cracked/anything like that. I'm hoping it's just a few things out of position. I'm gonna get it up and take a good look at things today. Replacing the rim is for shure in line next though when fundage allows. thank god I'm rocking rota
that was my first thought when i started sliding, "thank god that's a rota." <3
