Default Stuttering

I've done a search on this and while a few threads came up none of them helped.

My integra (b16a) stutters while accelerating. It does not happen all the time, however it is getting more frequent all the time. It usually happens when my car is warming up. When i put the foot down it goes away.

I have had my o2 sensors replaced not so long ago plus had my timing done so surely the problem isnt to do with them. I tried using some fuel injector cleaner, but this didnt improve the problem much if at all.

Thanks for any help in advance

Maybe an ignition issue, when was the last time u changed your plugs? Check the plug wires to see if they are on tight. How many miles on the car, how long has it been happening?

I had all the plugs replaced at the start of the year, i'll check them all today sometime though.

Car has done 213 000 km's which is pretty high (1990 model)

Maybe worth noting:
Recently had the main relay to fuel pump resoldiered
Recently had work on the starter motor done (pretty much replaced)
New ignition switch recently.

Man I dont know what to tell you, are you getting a CEL? If you really love the car, and want to keep it, take it in and get it looked at. I think it is something with either the fuel or ignition. I hope you get it fixed, good luck.

Check the distributor cap & plug wires for arcing. Look in the dark for a dull blue glow. Especially if the engine is really cold. Also check wires & distributor rotor for correct resistance.

DUDE! same exact thing happened to my teg. Whenever I would punch it.. it wasnt going n e where. I would get mad stuttering on acceleration. Ran my car through a computer and it gave back a code reading my fuel mixture was too lean. So it is a fuel problem you just have to find out where the fuel problem exists. What I did was replaced my intake system with cold air intake AND I replaced my fuel filter. I just recently bought my teg and it turns out that the guy before never changed the filter so my fuel was getting clogged hence the stuttering. My advice is change your filter, clean the injectors and give it some gas treatment. The sooner you do it the better.
