Strut Caps

Re: Strut Caps (Yoda)
I've done my springs but I'm not exactly sure what a strut cap is...is it the part on top of the shock that supports the top of the spring? If it is I don't think they are the same...I remember the rear ones being more oval and creased than round like up front.
They may be interchangable though, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Re: Strut Caps (Stephen)
Thanks. Anyone else? I have new springs and shocks and I have the front assembled and ready to go on. I also have an extra set of front hardware (bumpstop, strut cap) already disassembled. I was going to try to have all 4 corners complete and ready to just swap for the factory one with out having to compress anymore springs.

On a G3 integra, you probably won't have to compress the new rear springs at all...the shock height is very close to the relaxed spring's height. You may need to put a little bit of force to put the cap nut on but not much. Don't worry...it's not enough pressure to hurt you if you slip
you SHOULD use a compressor to remove the OEM spring though
Also, I'm almost positive the caps are different on the front and rear. They may not be but why risk it?
