Storing A Car For 2 Years?
Hey I was thinking about buying a 96 integra gsr but the only thing I'm concerned about is it has been stored for two years. I was just wondering what would be some cons of storing it for two years and when I go to check it out what should I look for? Thanks ht

Do a leak down/compression test.
Also the gas is bad because its been stored for 2 years so drain it out and put in fresh gas.

The car was stored in a garage. He said he put some additive in the gas tank so the gas should be good. It also has a new battery and new spark plugs.

Check the wheel bearings. They can be damaged if a vehicle sits for too long. Also check the tires for decay. Some of the engine seals (valve seals) may have dried out and the engine will smoke.

Depending on how and where it was stored you better do a sever rodent check as well. Take a air compressor and blow out the engine bay and anywhere the little buggers could have nested. After I returned from a deployment (Year and a half of not driving) I got a bit of a shock when a family of mice ran out from under my driver seat.
